Where to even start.......
We added the door handles and put up the rest of the uppers on the South wall. We had to get a little creative and cut off part of the upper rail with the dremmel...:
Then we installed the microwave and then of course we had to test it out and we made some microwave popcorn!
Then today we got our FRIDGE! We ended up getting it from Lowes instead of IKEA due to the customer service issues we had with the dishwasher. One thing with IKEA is they have great stuff but once you walk out the door they wash their hands of you and are NOT willing to help with any issues. So we'll buy the rest of the little stuff that we need from IKEA but we will not be making any more major purchases from there and definitely not any more appliance purchases! But anyways.... we have a pretty fridge! Its even a Whirpool to match the rest of our appliances and we ran a water line so now we will have ice and water on the door! Plus Lowes delivered it for FREE and they ended up having to take the fridge apart to get in through the door so I am so glad we did NOT try that ourselves.... so now it is all hooked up and ready to go! :
We decided we are not going to do the fridge surround after all. That way we can use the sides to put stuff up on (but we ended up getting a stianless steel "like" fridge so it is magnetic any ways and wont show finger prints as badly so they say...) but more importantly we wont block the light switch. So once we take out that panel the fridge will move over another 1/2":
So we still have a few more things to finish up like installing the shelves and stuff inside the cabinets, trim, pocket doors, more handles, lights... but we are getting close. But what we really need to do is get the garbage out of the back yard!! HA HA HA!!
